Oak Lodge wishes to express its profound disappointment following the recent news from Buckinghamshire Council about the closure and repurposing of several adult day centres.  These centres have long been a vital part of the support network for adults with complex needs and their families in our community.

Whilst we are glad to see that some services have been saved, including respite services, this has understandably caused a lot of concern and uncertainty for many families of individuals who rely on services at Hillcrest (High Wycombe) Day Centre, Burnham Day Centre, and Buckingham Day Centre that will close.

Although campaigners still continue the fight to save the centres, many families will now be assessing other options.  At Oak Lodge our primary concern is the well-being and continued support of the adults who will be displaced by these closures, and we are here to help.

Oak Lodge is a private day centre that offers a compassionate and stable alternative. Oak Lodge is a preferred provider and works closely with Adult Social Care. The majority of our clients are referrals from Bucks Council, and we accept local authority funding.​ We provide a wide range of person-centred services tailored to meet individual needs, ensuring a smooth and positive transition for you or your loved one.
